Welcome to my website all about scale 1:32 farm models featuring tractor conversions accompanied with some scratch built machinery presented within a realistic farm diorama. By simply clicking on any thumbnail image you will enter a realistic world of miniature farm models. Sadly for many this is not a commercial website, models featured are not for sale. It's purely a collection of modified farm tractors and machinery for others to view as a reference or just to enjoy. The objective is to display some of my collection in a much more realistic manner.
My conversions and scratch built models are not made to be perfect. I build models as a fun hobby and not as an expert to sell. I am always glad to share how I do things. Provided on this page are some contact details where one can source items, materials and purchase similar conversions. I generally scratch build from pictures and where possible I take overall measurements of the real thing. I hope that my scratch built farm machinery featured are of some interest to others as they are of an Irish flavour.
To all visitors I would like to say thank you for visiting the site. I only hope that the site will be both enjoyable and useful to you and to enthusiasts and collectors alike. To contact farmmodels.net simply click on the contact us button at the top of the page telling me what you think of the site.....
SCRATCH BUILDING AND SPARE PARTS A variety of materials like K&S Brass and polystyrene plastic structure are used while parts are sourced from the breaking of other models and specialist websites or from people like Brain Holmes and Brian Norman in the UK. I have provided various contact details on this page for sourcing parts and the purchasing of conversions. Finally I make my own decals using standard Desktop Publishing applications which are printed out on a commercial digital printer. There are a number of websites that can provide water transfer decals like Henry Walker or you can purchase water transfer paper from Karen Harris at farmmodels.co.uk and do it yourself. Finally please be patience as some larger images may take a few extra seconds to download for those on dial-up modem. Most of all enjoy your visit to farmmodels.net
