ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - To achieve the barley field I have used ‘Well Matting’. The type of mats you see upon walking into your typical modern shop or office. Lightly spray painted with a yellow and cream coating. The straw is the shavings of the left over mat again sprayed with some yellow paint for that extra tonal effect. The stubble field is just sawdust on an MDF board. The Barley in the trailer is fine sawdust for the present time! Both trailers are scratch built and have the Irish feel to them. Marston wheels are used on both conversions. The Massey is a Britains 362 with 1mm polystyrene wrapped around the bonnet to beef it up, giving new side panels, all fitted onto a donor UH Celtis chassis. The TM is based on the UH McCormick chassis and cab. The dusting on the combine is both clay dust and fine MDF sawdust parts of the dusting has been sprayed onto the model using lacquer paint. Other touches include a scratch built trolley and cab steps that fold forward for travelling on the road.
